Countering Active Threat Training (CATT)

Sunday, January 17, 2021 4 Sh'vat 5781

11:00 AM - 1:00 PMZoom

A VIRTUAL comprehensive training program to counter an active threat event for at KHN.

Under different circumstances we would do this training in person at the shul but that probably won’t be possible for a while. In the meantime, we have the opportunity to learn together virtually with one of the best security experts in the country working with Jewish organizations. Brad Orsini, Senior National Security Advisor, Secure Community Network (SCN) (part of Jewish Federations of America) was the Security director for the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh when the Tree of Life attack happened in 2018. His training efforts with area synagogues before the attack saved lives that awful day.

Together with his colleagues at SCN, he has a developed a comprehensive training program to counter an active threat event for Houses of Worship. He will also use KHN’s floor plans to customize the program for us.

PLEASE ATTEND THIS SESSION on January 17. We’d like to see full participation from KHN members for this very important topic. Being on the call “in-person” will also enable you to ask questions of the speaker in real-time.
