Our Rabbi

 We are delighted to share the exciting news that Rabbi Janine Jankovitz is our new rabbi. 

Rabbi Janine brings exceptional strengths to our Little Shul by the River. Of great importance is her proven track record of growing the religious school in her current synagogue. The congregation was impressed with Rabbi Janine’s warmth and intelligence, her ability to engage with people of all ages and backgrounds, and her deep connection to Judaism and Torah. Of equal importance, Rabbi Janine is committed to our tradition of providing a welcoming, diverse, innovative and vibrant Reconstructionist community in New Hope, Lambertville, and beyond.

Rabbi Janine is very much looking forward to meeting everyone who is part of our wonderful shul and reaching out to the broader community. Having served as a rabbinic intern for KHN, she already feels a deep connection to the Little Shul.

Rabbi Janine was ordained by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 2020. Since then, she has served as the rabbi for Congregation Beth El-Ner Tamid in Broomall, PA. She is a graduate of Temple University and worked for over a decade both as a student rabbi and an education director.
