Join our Little Shul by the River as we delve deeply into the High Holidays, offering multi-access and in-person family services. Rooted in ancient and modern prayer, with inspiring melodies, we gather to uplift each other with hope and empowered participation.
Daily Elul Zoom Check-In
Elul is the month before Rosh Hashanah and it is a time to reflect on this past year and to prepare for the High Holidays. The themes of Elul are self-reflection, forgiveness and divine closeness, among others. We work on the process of teshuva, of returning to our souls, and doing the inner work of repairing and deepening our relationship with ourselves, others and with the Divine. Each day during the month of Elul (except Shabbat) from August 25 - September 21, at 9 am, we will come together (on Zoom) for our Elul gatherings. These will include a short teaching/meditation by one of our congregants, singing part of the 27th psalm and the blowing of the shofar. They will last about 15 minutes. It’s a nice way to start our days. If you are interested in leading a talk or if you have any questions, please contact: Betsy Stern at betsystern3@gmail.com.
