We have several exciting programs and events coming up that I want to make sure are on your radar.
KHN Musical Kabbalat Shabbat - Tonight! Tonight join David Azer and me for a special KHN Musical Kabbalat Shabbat at 7 p.m. David is a skilled song leader and guitar player who has led for us a few times, most recently for a moving Selichot service. It will be a nice treat for everyone.
Special Guest for Shabbat Zimra- November 1st Our next Shabbat Zimra is November 1st and we are welcoming a special guest speaker, Rev. Lisa Schilansky from the Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing to come and speak. Rev. Lisa will share her story as a Jewish UU Minister. Along with our usual potluck, we are planning to have some food catered (bagels and lox spread) and we need to know how many people to plan for. Behaving Like A Jew- Weekly beginning November 2nd (flyer below) Sunday, November 2nd at 7 p.m. is the first "Behaving Like a Jew" Zoom class. The link is in the weekly KHN e-bulletin. Adult Beginner's Hebrew- This January And finally, coming up in January we will be offering an Adult Beginner’s Hebrew class taught by Julie Stockler. This class will be online and will run for six sessions. It is designed for anyone, no prior Hebrew knowledge expected or needed. This class will help you learn how to read Hebrew and follow along in our prayerbook. More information will be announced closer to the date.
Tonight I will speak about the connection of music and the Jewish soul in celebration of Musical Kabbalat Shabbat. I look forward to spending Shabbat with you!
