Dear KHN Community,
During these days of Elul leading up to Rosh HaShanah, we are given the time to focus on introspection, engaging in cheshbon nefesh, an accounting of our soul. It really helps to support this work while surrounded with others on a similar journey.
If you are feeling far from the themes of teshuva, of returning, or are feeling drawn toward connection and community, I highly encourage you to join the daily (except for Shabbat morning) Elul gatherings at 9:00 am. Betsy Stern has been organizing them and so far Debra Brosan and Andy Kaufman (on shofar!) have been doing a terrific job of helping a dedicated group of us to wake up and reflect on where we are and where we want to be. Several others from our community will also be leading the teachings and shofar-blowing.

May we all take the time we need to move into vulnerability and courage in order to face where we are and envision where we hope to be for this upcoming year.
Shabbat services will be lead by rabbinic intern Josh Nelson this week and next in person and on Zoom.
